The curriculum will give you the training to learn how to create foundry moulds and cores by hand and by machine, cast metals and non-metallic materials into moulds and forms, cast with casting machines and handle castings and moulding materials. Should you opt for the one-year part-time course, you will study 4 days a week at the worksite of METALURGIE Rumburk s.r.o. and 1 day a week at the Secondary Industrial School TOS VARNSDORF s.r.o. If you opt for the three-year full-time study programme, you’ll learn to read engineering drawings and extract the data needed to make castings, and you’ll also get a welding certificate. In both cases, you will be able to find a job in the foundry industry.
The one-year part-time course takes place four days a week as vocational training at the worksite of METALURGIE Rumburk s.r.o. and one day in the form of lectures on vocational subjects at the Secondary Industrial School TOS VARNSDORF s.r.o. The graduate will receive a final examination certificate and a training certificate issued by TOS VARNSDORF a.s., plus the international EUROPASS certificate proving the skills and competences acquired in the field of working with CNC machines.
In comparison, the three-year full-time study programme takes place at the Secondary Industrial School TOS VARNSDORF s.r.o. and also includes preparation to obtain a welding certificate within the scope of the course ZK 311 W01. The studies end with a final exam, on successful completion of which the graduate will receive a final examination certificate and a training certificate issued by TOS VARNSDORF a.s., plus the international EUROPASS certificate proving the skills and competences acquired in the field of working with CNC machines.
