We have many years of experience with piece and small series production of castings for making machine tools. We also make castings for construction machinery and for the automotive and food industries.

The history of our company dates back to 1903. METALURGIE Rumburk s.r.o. is a traditional foundry for grey and ductile cast iron with extensive experience in piece and small series production of castings for making machine tools, for construction machinery and for the food and automotive industries. Our production hall has undergone a complete overhaul, making it one of the most modern foundries in the Czech Republic.

Production of castings

A perfect casting is the result of a series of meticulously planned steps and measures that guarantee its quality and reliability.

Production Preparation

At this stage, we focus on the careful planning of production. This includes, for example, designing technical documentation, preparing the required jigs and tools, selecting materials and other steps necessary for the successful production of castings.

Pattern equipment

For the production of castings, we use up-to-date pattern equipment, which enables the fast and accurate production of moulds. This allows us to produce even very complex geometric shapes and achieve high-quality castings.

Moulding

Special moulding machines and moulds are used to ensure the accuracy and perfection of the castings. The moulds are designed to achieve the best possible mechanical properties and aesthetic appearance of the castings.

Materials and melting aggregates

To produce our castings, we only use best-quality materials that guarantee high strength and durability. The materials undergo rigorous testing to guarantee their quality. For melting materials, we use modern melting aggregates that allow precise dosing and an even heat distribution.

Cleaning of castings

After the castings are made, they must be carefully cleaned of dirt and excess material. To do this, we use diverse cleaning methods that are tailored to the specific material and type of casting at hand.

Surface treatment

Machining

Once the casting is ready, its finishing is performed on CNC machines to ensure the perfect accuracy and quality of the final product.

Quality

In our plant, all our products receive the utmost attention and we inspect them on the basis of strict quality standards. We carefully monitor and optimise the production process to minimise any errors and imperfections.

Making the castings production in the METALURGIE Rumburk foundry more environmentally sustainable – reduction of emissions

The project was co-financed by the European Union – Cohesion Fund under the Operational Programme Environment. The subject of the project was the reduction of fugitive emissions of solid pollutants from the operation of the METALURGIE Rumburk foundry works. The project will reduce emissions from this stationary source contributing to the exposure of the population to above-limit concentrations of pollutants.

These ensure a firm grip on the casting and its stable position during production. This makes the plates an indispensable tool in the casting process.

Clamping angles

Compared to plates, these offer additional speed and flexibility in adjusting the position of the casting during production. They can also be used for fixing more complex geometric shapes.

Clamping blocks

Suitable for firm and stable fixing of smaller castings such as machine and equipment parts.
